  1. Chicken tikka marination
  2. Whole bird (cut into 12 pieces)
  3. 4 tbs Chicken tikka masala
  4. 1/4 tsp black pepper
  5. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  6. 1/2 tsp red chili flakes
  7. Oil
  8. For Rice
  9. Whole condiments: cloves, black pepper, zeera, bay leaf, cinnamon
  10. Salt
  11. 1 tbs Vinegar
  12. For Shorba
  13. 3 onions (medium sized blend)
  14. 3 tomatoes (medium sized blend)
  15. 1 tbs ginger garlic paste
  16. 3 tbs biryani masala
  17. 5-6 green chili chopped
  18. 1 tsp chili powder
  19. 1.5 tsp salt
  20. For Assembling
  21. 3 onions golden crisp
  22. 1 bunch coriander chopped
  23. 1/2 bunch mint chopped
  24. 6-7 green chilies (whole)
  25. Zarda rung
  26. 1 tbs kewra water

Instructions to make Tikka biryani

  1. Preparation for Tikka: take a bowl and put Tikka masala with black pepper
  2. Add ginger garlic paste, red chilli flakes and pour vinegar
  3. Drizzle some oil and mix it well.
  4. Take the tikka pieces and pour the masala on chicken pieces. Rub it with hands all over.
  5. Keep aside for at least 1 to 2 hours.
  6. In the mean while, arrange the water for boiling rice. Put all the dry condiments.
  7. On the other hand, take a pan pour oil. Put chicken piece one by one. Cover it first for 10 mins on low flame and then uncover it and turn to another side.
  8. In the mean while, make your biryani rice. Take water in big opened pot and put all the condiments, once the water started boiling, add a tablespoon spoon of vinegar and salt. Let it boil properly. Keep an eye, it shouldn’t be too much mushy as well as uncooked.
  9. Till then Chicken is almost done with beautiful color. Slow down the flame and keep it on stove.
  10. In the mean while, rice also done. Put it in the strainer and keep it there.
  11. Take a same pot and pour oil first. Put blended onion, fry for 1 min and then add blended tomatoes or tomato puree. Add ginger garlic paste.
  12. Add Chopped green chillies and Biryani masala and chilli powder. Mix it well. Fry it properly.
  13. Add yogurt and potatoes, mix it properly. Cover it for 10 mins on medium flame. Cook till then potatoes cook.
  14. Start assembling:
    When potatoes cooked fully then add a layer of boiled rice (half) then Fried onions. Start putting one by one chicken tikka piece.
  15. Place all chicken tikka pieces on rice layer. Sprinkle chopped coriander and chillies.
  16. Spread half rice with fried onions and chopped coriander. Sprinkle Zarda color and cover it properly for steam. Put it on low flame for 15 mins at least.
  17. When uncovered it after 15 mins…. What a biryani aroma!!! Take a big flat spoon, turner or quarter plater to break the biryani and put in a dish.
  18. Serve the biryani with rice and kechumber and enjoy your meal๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜Š
